Usage & Safety

• Retract the snap-off blade when not in use.
• Always use pliers, forceps or a dedicated blade snapper to break off segments.
  
• Never snap by hand — to avoid injury.
  
• Point the blade away from you when snapping.
  
• Only expose one or two segments at a time — extra length increases snapping risk.
  
• Wear safety glasses and gloves to protect your eyes and hands when snapping the blade.
  
• Store knives with the blade fully retracted when not in use.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Disposal of Used Blades

• Do not put loose blades in regular rubbish — this is a serious safety hazard.
  
• Where possible, use a dedicated blade disposal container or sharps box
  
• If not available, consider other methods to safely dispose of the blades, for example
  
• Wrapped in tape or cardboard and placed in a hard container (e.g. empty tin, plastic sharps box).
  
• Taken to a local recycling or sharps disposal point if available.
  
• If in doubt, follow local council guidance on sharps or DIY blade disposal.
