Just imagine being able to easily spot when something is missing, or knowing with certainty that all of your equipment is returned and protected after use. Due to Shadow Foam’s unique customisable properties, having too many items is never a problem.

Shadow Foam is a multi-layered polyethylene foam that makes organisation as simple as cut and peel. Use any sharp knife to cut around your item, then peel back layers for depth. Shadow Foam is water and common chemical resistant, so if there are any spills, just wipe them off with no problems. It is available in seven colour variations with either a colour top, or colour base, and enhanced with a UV stabiliser to ensure the colour never fades.

Shadow Foam inserts for Sortimo are designed to perfectly match the exact footprint of your Sortimo toolbox, tool case, or drawer. Each product page lists all compatible Sortimo toolboxes and cases, so you can easily find the right insert for your setup.

On each product page, you’ll find links to the Sortimo toolboxes and cases that the insert is compatible with. This makes it easy to identify the perfect fit for your Sortimo storage system.

The ideal insert depth depends on what you’re storing in your Sortimo toolbox. For smaller hand tools, we recommend a 30mm Shadow Foam insert (around 20mm workable depth). For power tools, a 50mm insert offers roughly 40mm of depth. You can also stack layers for a custom setup.

We regularly restock our Sortimo Shadow Foam inserts, so if your preferred colour or depth isn’t available, please check back soon. If you need an insert urgently, you can cut your own using our Shadow Foam sheets — see our step-by-step guide for help.

Unless specified, all Sortimo tool foam inserts in a pack are the same colour and depth. However, you can mix and match inserts from different packs to create a custom look for your Sortimo setup. 

Yes! You can order a sample of Shadow Foam Sample Pack for just £5.00 per unit to test before buying a full pack. It’s a great way to experience the quality of our Sortimo-compatible foam inserts.
