The ideal insert depth depends on what you’re storing in your AEG toolbox. For smaller hand tools, we recommend a 30mm Shadow Foam insert (around 20mm workable depth). For power tools, a 50mm insert offers roughly 40mm of depth. You can also stack layers for a custom setup.

We regularly restock our AEG Shadow Foam inserts, so if your preferred colour or depth isn’t available, please check back soon. If you need an insert urgently, you can cut your own using our Shadow Foam sheets — see our step-by-step guide for help.

Unless specified, all AEG tool foam inserts in a pack are the same colour and depth. However, you can mix and match inserts from different packs to create a custom look for your AEG setup.
