Advanced Medical Solutions are a leading developer and manufacturer of advanced wound care dressing technologies for management of chronic and acute wounds. Headquartered in the UK AMS have locations throughout Europe.

The Problem

The nature of the products AMS manufacture means that maintaining a clean environment is critical. When working in the clean room everything has to be latex and animal derived product free. This can prove extremely challenging for the engineering team. Tools that are loose in the roll cab can attract dirt and other foreign objects that are detrimental to a clean environment.

One other problem faced was the need to conduct internal audits weekly and a regulatory customer audits. These audits covered engineering as a whole so the need for tool control was vital. AMS needed to remove the risk of a non conformance as both their customer standard and own internal policy required excellent tool control.

The Solution

Advanced Medical Solutions turned to Shadow Foam to solve their tool control problem. Each AMS roll cab was fitted out with Shadow foam allowing the company to;
