10 ottimi organizzatori in schiuma ispirati ai clienti
When we launched our #SFSwag incentive in late 2021, little did we know what a great response we would have. The idea was to create a buzz around storage inspiration. So that when customers made a great foam organising creation, they could share on Instagram using #SFSwag. Then they’re in with a chance of winning a bumper haul of £500-worth of goodies from us. Tool box inspiration for everyone else to drool over, applaud and often copy! organisation inspiration
Since then we’ve been amazed by some of the makes that have been shared. And while we would love to showcase them all, there are a few makes that stand out for different reasons. So we thought this would be a nice opportunity to share some of them and the reasons we love them.
What is SFSwag?
We often run competitions and giveaways here. We want everyone to be inspired by some of the brilliant work we see customers doing with Shadow Foam every day. What better way to offer up a periodic prize to incentivise people to inspire others by sharing their creations. The first prize ran from just about the end of 2021 until now. But this will be repeated on an ongoing basis for as long as people want to share their creations with us.
The prize consists of some Shadow Foam branded merch, an IPad and a £100 gift voucher. The overall bundle being worth around £500. And to win all you have to do is snap your creation, share it on Instagram tagging us in (@shadow_foam). And make sure use the hashtag #sfswag… it’s that simple. So go on, share your storage inspiration!
How are the winners picked
Now this is a little more tricky! Do we go with the most “liked”, the most “innovative”, the best “photographed” or the most “technical”. There are too many variables and too many deserving makes. So on balance, we are just going for a mix of all of the above. Plus a little of the x-factor, the sprinkle of something special that makes a creation jump out.
And based on all of that, we have come up with a short-list of just some of the customer-made creations that stood out to us in the first of our #SFSwag draws.
So, in no particular order, welcome to the SFSwag class of Dec 21 – Jul 22!

🛠️ Halfords Tool Chest
📅 Dec 2021
Pat has made a few Shadow Foam creations. They’ve really worked hard on getting their tools super-organised in a variety of containers. In this particular project though, Pat confesses to “getting a bit carried away now!”. But we love the super neat organisation he achieved with his Halfords tool drawers. The tools are planned out neatly, cut into the foam with real precision, and the image he shared with us really sets off his drawer inserts to brilliant effect.

🛠️ Compact Tool Case
📅 Jan 2022
Here Andrew has worked on “Building my ideal, compact, all in one, portable, DIY tool kit” and boy has he managed it. What’s impressive here is that Andrew has made his own custom fit inserts from our packs of yellow-top foam. And then he customised the layers with cut-outs to allow for easy removal from the case. Plus for total space maximisation he has even added a foam insert into the lid. Impressive.

🛠️ Light up Milwaukee case
📅 Mar 2022
Well we were a little spoilt for choice with some of the makes these guys shared with us. Tool box inspiration at it’s very best! Everything from Wera tools bottle openers to Unilite storage. But this Milwaukee Packout with concealed lighting triggered by a micro switch on opening really did take the biscuit. It just has a real “wow” factor. That’s almost certainly an idea we will be, ahem, “borrowing” in future. And we know lots of others have been blown away by this too.

🔫 Customised Nuprol case
📅 Apr 2022
If, like Darren Heathfield, you’re into clay pigeon shooting, then this storage inspiration could be right up your street. With incredible customisation in the lid of the Nuprol box and the items themselves stored securely in the base. This is a striking and meticulous case that will be the envy of everyone at the shooting range.

🛠️ Franchise van storage
📅 Apr 2022
If anyone is looking for van storage inspiration, then you won’t go far wrong with Sudell Gutter Service’s van kit. How professional does that look?! We were particularly impressed with the co-ordination of inserts, tools and drawers. And the addition of the finger-pulls mean that everything can be removed and replaced with ease. We also like the angling in the position of the longer items. This means that they can be removed without the drawer above impeding them. Clever planning.

🛠️ Power Tool Wall
📅 Apr 2022
You already know we’re a sucker for a power tool wall here at Shadow Foam. But this one has been created with real Swiss precision by customer Thierry Payot. There’s so much to like about this build, but it has been beautifully planned and laid out. And the addition of the mounting frame really sets off the wall perfectly. Just amazing.

🔋 Drone battery storage case
📅 May 2022
When DroneworksUK wanted a storage solution for their drone batteries, they totally nailed it with this creation. Using our coloured top foam in an HPRC case. Not only did they create perfect uniformity for the storage of their Phantom 4 Pro Batteries, but they have created a concealed compartment within the foam for additional protection. Great thinking.

🛠️ Milwaukee router set up
📅 March 2022
GJ Panel Fix treated themselves to a new router in the New Year, and then got all his kit set up in just one box. We love this not just because Milwaukee is one of our customer’s favourite brands. But because it perfectly demonstrates how, with a little time and careful planning, you can achieve the optimum set up for your tools at home, yourself. And just look at that teeny tiny detailling… exquisite!

🛠️ 4 drawer quad bike kit
📅 Jan 2022
When Luke Brown wanted to get his quad bike tools in order and had 4 drawers in a tool chest to get organised, he got busy with the Shadow Foam! We loved how he created a time-lapse video of how he did it and then shared the “after” results for everyone to get inspired by. That’s one organised tool chest!

🛠️ Milwaukee Packout Compact Organiser
📅 Jan 2022
Fair to say we were a little spoilt for choice as Milwaukee Dave Tools are regular users of Shadow Foam and have made lots of great use of them. We particularly like this compact organiser storage for incorporating the plastic tub and housing his M12 multi tool. But we particularly love how they always catalogue each step in the process of making the storage too. Really useful for inspiring and helping others, and exactly what we are all about.
Shortlist
So that’s what we think! And that was our very hotly contested shortlist for this first batch of #SFSwag inspiring makes. We’ll be announcing the overall winner very soon, but meantime we’d love to hear your thoughts on which of these you like.
And please, everyone, keep tagging us in your makes and keep inspiring others with your shares… we can’t get enough!
